Welspun India Limited required improvement in accuracy of inventory management for sorting cotton bale (grade wise) in warehouse using UHF based passive RFID technology

They were seeking streamline Inward Putaway Pickup process for cotton bale warehouse for their Anjar Vapi Plant

Solution Offered

  • Implemented RFID System (Online integration with SAP EWM) for complete automation of Cotton bale.
  • RFID Tunnel design for all warehouse Entry & Exit gates.
  • Every cotton bale was tagged with UHF RFID tag for Unique Identification.
  • All the Putaway / Pickup locations Marked with UHF RFID tag for unique location allocation of cotton bale.
  • Each Forklift is equipped with Vehicle mount terminal & RFID reader & antenna.
  • Entry & exit of Cotton Bale through RFID tunnel captures the Bale ID through RFIDantenna mounted on Gate & Update to backend System.
  • Automated capturing Location allocation & pickup process on vehicle mount terminal using RFID antenna Mounted on Forklift.
  • Successfully updating data to Backend database on a Real time basis.
